Mark Descriptions

Once all the GNSS observation files are successfully loaded into the project, all of the survey marks which were observed as part of the project are now part of the project. The user may want to import mark descriptive information from the datasheets via the individual mark pages as described above in Section 7. However, if the user wishes to submit the project to NGS, a separate description file must be generated outside of OP, and then loaded into the project. **For submitting a project to NGS, it is strongly recommended to load the description files prior to any session processing.** Now is a good time to do this. See Appendix A for guidance on creating WinDesc description files using the latest version of WinDesc, as shown in :numref:`Figure10-1.jpg`.
