Why OPUS Projects’ Hub Processing Strategy is Not a Radial Survey

Why OPUS Projects’ Hub Processing Strategy is Not a Radial Survey

January 16, 2025

2:00-3:30pm ET

Via Webinar

Trainer: Dan Martin, Northeast Regional Geodetic Advisor

This webinar is designed for existing OPUS Projects users who are interested in learning more about OPUS Projects' processing strategy.

For many who have taken an OPUS Projects Manager’s training, or seen an NGS presentation that showed a screen capture from OPUS Projects after some processing or adjustments had been competed, they would likely describe the OPUS Projects “Hub” processing strategy as a “radial survey”, and not at all representing what most of us think of as a “geodetic network”. The concepts of “strength of figure”, “closed loops”, and “network”, would seem to be forgotten, even intentionally ignored. Not True!! In this webinar, we will dive deeper into what the OPUS Projects Hub Strategy is, how it differs from more commonly used strategies, and what the advantages are in using this strategy within OPUS Projects.
