GRAV-D Project Progresses in Alaska

The National Geodetic Survey's Gravity for the Redefinition of the American Vertical Datum (GRAV-D) Project began airborne survey work aboard the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management's Pilatus PC-12 aircraft on September 16, and the team has flown 44 flight hours since then. The aircraft returned from major maintenance during the week of September 27, and the survey has recommenced. GRAV-D will fly aboard the PC-12 until the middle of November and then cease operations for the remainder of the calendar year. For more information, contact Vicki Childers.
