NGS Presents at International Federation of Surveyors Working Week 2012 Conference

From May 6-10, the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) represented the United States at the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) Working Week 2012 conference in Rome. In addition to chairing several sessions, NGS staff presented on U.S. terrestrial reference frames, Height Modernization and the implementation of a new U.S. vertical datum, interactive Web-based GPS network processing and adjustment, and online real-time surveying validation tools. Additionally, NGS is serving as the chair of one of the largest FIG commissions (Geodetic and Positioning Infrastructure) through 2014. Participants from around the globe represent land surveying, GIS, spatial planning and management, civil engineering, hydrography, and other related geospatial fields.
