National Geodetic Survey Receives Awards Honoring Scientific Paper

On March 21, two National Geodetic Survey (NGS) staff, Dr. Chris Parrish and Dr. Inseong Jeong, received awards at the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Conference in Sacramento, California. The first award is the 2012 ERDAS Award for Best Scientific Paper in Remote Sensing (Third Prize Award) and the second award is the 2012 Talbert Abrams Award (Grand Award) for the publication having the greatest merit by any or all of the recognized standards of originality, practical and theoretical value, clarity of exposition, and general interest. Awards such as these demonstrate NGS' professional status in the photogrammetry and remote sensing industries. For more information, contact Nicole Cabana.
