The NGS Chief Geodesist participated in the United Nations Global Geodetic Reference Frame (GGRF) Workshop in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The workshop was designed to develop capacities to implement the GGRF in Latin America. NGS emphasized the importance of properly structured national and international governance, and cited the Federal Geodetic Control Subcommittee and the Geospatial Data Act of 2018 within the United States as examples for Latin America.
