NOAA’s Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) Network provides Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data to support three-dimensional positioning, meteorology, space weather, and other geophysical applications throughout the United States and many parts of the globe. Modern GNSS hardware and data processing techniques are increasingly more precise and accurate, requiring better CORS installation, operation and maintenance practices.
